The IUP German Club invites you to a movie night on Wednesday, October 14, at 7:30 p.m. in 206 McElhaney. The movie shown will be Europa Europa.

Europa Europa is about a Jewish boy, Solly, who gets separated from his family as they flee Germany after Kristallnacht. Solly ends up in a Russian orphanage for two years. When the Nazis reach Russia, Solly convinces them that he is a German orphan and becomes an interpreter for them. When he is sent back to Germany to attend an elite Aryan school, it becomes harder and harder for him to keep his true identity hidden, especially after he falls in love with a German girl.

The film is based on the life of Solomon Perel, a German-Jewish boy who survived the Holocaust by posing as an Aryan.
