Hailed as “the premier men’s vocal ensemble in the United States,” Cantus will
present an informal lecture/demonstration in Stapleton Library today, November 6,
from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the commons area next to Java City.
The winner of the prestigious Margaret Hillis Award for Choral
Excellence from Chorus America, Cantus holds an active schedule of
national tour dates, subscription concerts in its home of
Minneapolis/St. Paul, and educational outreach programs and recordings.
This outreach is part of two days in Indiana that includes rehearsing with IUP and public school choral groups, an open rehearsal, and their performance as part of the Lively Arts Ovations! series at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7 in Fisher Auditorium.
Here is more information on the high school educational outreach and schedule. And here is additional information on today's library outreach.
Tickets to their November 7 performance are available at the IUP HUB
Box Office on Pratt Drive, by calling 724-357-1313, or by
ordering online. They will also be for sale before the performance at the Box Office. For more information, contact the Lively Arts at 724-357-2787, or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
