Glisan Gives Two Presentations at National Language Conference

Eileen Glisan gave two presentations at the annual Fall Convention of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL), held in San Diego on Nov. 19–22. She copresented a full-day workshop on Using Integrated Performance Assessment [IPA] to Improve Learning and Instruction for a group of 65 participants.

She also moderated the Research Plenary, Research Priorities—Phase III: Using Research to Transform Professional Practice, in her role as codirector of the ACTFL Research Priorities in Foreign Language Education Project.

Additionally, Glisan's new co-authored text, Teachers Handbook: Contextualized Language Instruction, was released in its 2016 fifth edition at the conference.
