Education Abroad Scholarships

Funding is out there for students who are interested in participating in a study abroad program. The Office of International Education can help you find it. Visit their website or stop by Delaney B-25 to learn more about these opportunities

There are many scholarships that exist for students who want to study abroad, The Office of International Education has compiled a list of relevant scholarships on the Study Abroad website. Below are a few highlights of the scholarships available to you.

PASSHE Study Abroad Award:

This scholarship for up to $1,000 is for Pennsylvania residents who qualify for the Pell or PHEAA Grants to participate in a study abroad program. 

Eurasmus+ Grant:

Through this grant IUP students can get additional funding for their study abroad program to one of the following universities:

  • The University of Essex where the grant is for 4,000 Euros and can be used for your travel and housing expenses during your study abroad at this university.

  • Middle East Technical University in Turkey offers a similar grant to IUP students who choose to study for a semester at their campus.

  • The University of Zagreb in Croatia is another partner institution where IUP students can study fine arts, drama, and music that is included in this grant.

For students who are interested in studying in Asia, the Freeman Asia Grant is back! Students interested in studying in Asia should apply to this scholarship for up to $3,000 for a summer program, up to $5,000 for a semester abroad, and up to $7,000 for a full-year program.
