Study Abroad Programs Available this Summer

In addition to our semester and yearlong programs, the Office of International Education offers a wide variety of summer programs where students can earn credits towards their degree in another country over the summer.

Faculty-Led Programs:

  • Costa Rica: IUP/UNA Spanish Language program
  • England: IUP Oxford program Students can take courses in English and nursing taught by IUP faculty members at the University of Oxford
  • South Korea: Cultural exploration of South Korea
  • India: Geography and regional planning field study
  • France: Intensive language program in Aix-en-Provence.

Other programs are in the approval process and will be publicized once they are approved. If you are a faculty member who is interested in leading a program abroad, please contact Jessica Halchak by e-mailing jhalchak@iup.edu for information about the proposal process.

Below are some of the IUP summer programs through our direct partner universities.

Business:

  • ICN Business School offers a four-week business program in the cities of Metz, Nancy, and Nuremberg where students can gain a global perspective on their courses.
  • The BEST program in Duisburg, Germany.
  • International College of Management Sydney is a great option for students who want to earn 12 credits towards their major over the summer. ICMS offers programs during the semester as well. Students can participate in internships in their semester or summer programs.

Japanese:

  • Kansai Gaidai

Chinese:

  • Shanghai Normal University
  • Sichuan University
  • Tamkang University

Korean:

  • Kyungpook National University

Spanish:

  • Universidad de las Américas Puebla, Mexico
  • Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Chile
  • Universidad del Salvador, Argentina
