As anticipated, the Ovations! series presentation of
Broadway's Mamma Mia! is sold out.
This popular comedy, based on the music of ABBA and on its first visit to
Indiana, will be presented on the Fisher Auditorium stage of IUP’s Performing
Arts Center on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at 8:00 p.m.
Some tickets may, however, be released by individuals or
groups. If they are, an announcement will be made approximately one hour before
they become available online. The announcement will be placed on the Lively
Arts’ Facebook and Twitter pages. For the timeliest notification, it is
recommended that patrons sign up for the Lively Arts’ texting service by
texting “Lively” to 313131.
Tickets are also sometimes turned in by patrons on the night
of the show. Anyone wishing to be put on a waiting list for those tickets must
come to the ticket window of the Performing Arts Center and sign up on a list.
That list will open at 7:00 p.m. the night of the show; and tickets, if
available, will be distributed starting at 7:55 p.m. Names for the waiting list
can only be taken in person the night of the show and will not be accepted by
telephone or e-mail.
Patrons are advised that there is already a high demand for
tickets to see the Moscow Festival Ballet’s Swan Lake on March 28. Tickets are
available now, and audience goers are encourage to purchase their tickets online
or at the Hadley Union Building as soon as possible. That performance includes
a pre-concert talk at 6:00 p.m. by the director for ticketed audience members
with the performance starting at 7:00 p.m. in Fisher Auditorium. The box office that evening will open at 5:30 p.m.
