From April 10–13, 2016, a team of peer reviewers from the
Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) will conduct their site
visit and review of IUP. This event marks one of the final steps in IUP’s
process for reaffirmation of accreditation with the MSCHE.
During the site visit, the nine members of the team will be
meeting with different constituent groups across IUP to gather data for the
development of their report to the Commission. In addition, there will also be
an opportunity for the IUP campus community to participate in a public forum. More
information regarding the team’s schedule will be published in the coming weeks.
Please watch your e-mail and IUP
Daily for this information.
Preparations for the 2016 reaffirmation of accreditation review
year began in 2013. Over the past two and a half years, members of the IUP
campus community have served on committees to conduct research and develop
reports about IUP’s achievement of the 14 Middle
States Characteristics of Excellence. This process concluded in December
2015 with the publication of the IUP Self
Study and Full Subcommittee Reports.
