Students, staff, and faculty from the
College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics gathered for a two-day workshop to plan STEM spaces in the new science facility scheduled to open in 2020.
The workshop was conducted by Jeanne Narum of Learning Spaces Collaboratory (LSC), a nationwide consortium of experts from academia, professional organizations, and nonprofits specializing in design principles for learner-focused spaces.
Key partners from IUP joined the college in the planning session, including Engineering and Construction, Facilities Management, IT Services, Provost Tim Moreland, and Vice Provost John Kilmarx. CNSM students, staff, and faculty will continue to actively participate in the planning of the
new STEM facility in the months leading up to the design phase of the project.
