The Employment and Labor Relations Department
held its 35th annual Labor Management Conference on April 8,
2016. The conference theme was “Achieving a Competitive Edge in 2016: Fresh
Perspectives on Human Resource Challenges.”
Faculty and graduate assistants from the ELR Department actively served
on the planning committees. Four faculty members participated in the conference, and two
faculty members presented conference sessions. Speakers included Pablo Mendoza,
assistant to the president for Social Equity, IUP; attorneys and
representatives from the National Labor Relations Board; and representatives from
the U.S. Department of Labor and from public sector law firms.
