Millward Publishes on the Issue of Supervision in Education

Professor Robert Millward published on "Why Retain a Supervision Model from the 1860s?" in the April 2016 issue of School Administrator

The article contends that the current teacher supervision model dates back to the 1860s when county superintendents tried to visit each teacher at least once per year. The article goes on to advocate shifting the current supervisory model from the principal to the classroom teacher.
