Sandhoff served as coordinator for the 2015–16 academic year. A decision was
made by the Veterans’ Reintegration Research Cluster to rotate core faculty though the leadership position.
The Veterans’ Reintegration Research Cluster is an interdisciplinary
team of expert faculty dedicated to collaboration on topics of mutual interest
related to veteran reintegration. The focus of the cluster’s research is on the
role of institutions and organizations for OEF/OIF veterans’ return to civilian
life. Its research aims to provide innovative insights for therapeutic and
preventive interventions that will lead to a reduction in a variety of
reintegration problems such as college dropout, unemployment, homelessness,
substance abuse, domestic violence, divorce, and mental health problems.
