The Center for Emergency Services Training announces the spring 2017 IUP campus EMT course. This program is primarily designed for future EMS personnel, but is appropriate for anyone who may respond to emergencies, including fire/rescue personnel, nurses,
coaches or athletic trainers, safety professionals, etc.
Participants who successfully complete this program are eligible to take National Registry of EMTs certification exams for Pennsylvania and national certification as an EMT.

Course includes classroom, skill, and field sessions. Students must meet minimum physical capabilities of PA DOH. In addition to scheduled dates students must complete NIMS 100/700 courses through free online modules.
*Students must also complete 10 patient contacts at an approved site, which will require up to date immunizations/TB test and acceptable criminal background check (PSP $10).
Preregistration is required. Please complete the enrollment form and return it with a $100 nonrefundable deposit by December 21, 2016.
Please make checks payable to “IUP Research Institute.” Enrollment is limited and will be accepted until the class is filled. IUP reserves the right to cancel any program, at which time deposit/registration fees would be refunded. Late registration
will be accepted if space is available. The remaining balance is due on the first day of class. Further information regarding full payment will be sent upon registration before the first class session.
IUP students who successfully complete the EMT course at IUP are eligible for up to four transfer credits through the department of Kinesiology, Health, and Sport Science. For more information, see the EMT Credit Transfer Agreement.
