Web maintainers will notice two major changes to the CMS today: style updates to the editor, and the launch of the new Content Preview Mode.
The styles in the content editor in Ektron have been updated, and what maintainers see in the editor is now consistent with how content displays in the website (even on events!).
If you log in and still see the old styles, you will need to clear out your browsing history.
While headings are displayed in all caps on the website, in the editor they are displayed with no formatting to make writing and proofreading easier. It is important to write headings with the correct capitalization because items like news posts and other content are integrated into different products like MyIUP, IUP Mobile, Facebook, Twitter, and others which have different styles for headings.
Image formatting (like half-width, responsive, left- or right-aligned) will function as they do in the page.

This new feature allows maintainers to preview unpublished content in their page layout before submitting it, allowing for easier and hopefully faster page and content development. (Maintainers who used the CMS before the conversion may remember the "Preview" button – this functions almost the same way.)
Maintainers will now be able to create a new content block, or edit an existing one, place it in their page layout, and immediately be able to see how it looks and functions by enabling Content Preview Mode. You must check in or submit content to view changes.
This new feature is available on any page or news item (events and calendars will not have this feature). Simply click the "Enter Content Preview Mode" button, located on the right side of the content area above the red buttons, to enable. The screenshots below highlight the button location.
The Content Preview Mode button is found in the top right of the page. When in responsive mode, this button will be found above the menu.
Once enabled, you'll be able to see your changes or new content, but you won't be able to make changes to it, as the access to content edit and properties is turned off. Simply click the "Exit Content Preview Mode" to access those options.

You'll also see that the page style changes to indicate that you are in Content Preview Mode.
Content Preview Mode and the page layout Design Edit mode are independent of each other. You can have the layout open for editing (to place content widgets or change the layout) and simultaneously preview your content. However, it is advisable to check in your page layout changes often, so as not to lose them.
