International Friendship Program Begins

The Office of International Education is proud to announce that the International Friendship Program has begun for fall 2018! The IFP gives international students and Indiana community members the opportunity to share each other’s cultures and develop lifelong friendships.

Participants are matched for one academic year and regularly meet to take part in fun activities. Past participants have had day trips to Pittsburgh or attended a Lively Arts performance together. This allows international students a chance to experience American culture outside of the campus community.

This year, the IFP matched over 60 international students with community members and will match more as the semester continues.

The IFP is still looking for more community members to participate in the 2018–19 program. If you’re interested, please visit the International Friendship Program website and fill out a community member application, or e-mail for more information.
