Please join us for the November 9 meeting of the Behavioral Neuroscience Journal Club for a discussion of the relationship between substance abuse and chronic pain. The meeting takes place at noon in Uhler Hall, room 118.
Emily Welch (Biology) and Zachary Harmon (Counseling) will describe parallels between substance use disorders and chronic pain through a biopsychosocial perspective. Their focus will be treatment integration, as a mechanism for positive health outcomes in the management of chronic pain without the use of opioid analgesics.
The meeting is open to all members of the IUP community—please join us!
