The Lively Arts will present a Q&A talk-back session with cast members from the hit Broadway musical Spamalot on Monday, December 3, in the Mezzanine Lobby of Fisher Auditorium following the performance at about 10:20 p.m.
“This is always such a tremendous opportunity for not only the IUP theater students, but any students and others in the community to meet actors from the show, and to ask them questions about the show, careers in music, and music theater in general,” said Lively Arts Executive Director Kristen Koehler.
“While presenting the performance of a hit Broadway musical is certainly the main focus,” she continued, “it’s also important as a university to offer these types of learning opportunities, and we’re always excited when it can work out in the company’s schedule.”
The actors participating are Kasidy Devlin, Robin; Adam Grabau, Lancelot; Richard LaFleur, Historian/Others; Amy Laviolette, Ensemble; and Stephanie Wasser, Ensemble. Each brings a wealth of talent and experience that they're willing to share.
“These sessions are a win-win,” said Jeff Wacker, Arts-in-Education services coordinator for the Lively Arts. “The students have the opportunity to soak in all of the experience sitting in front of them, and the actors have a great time ‘giving back’ as they were once in the students’ shoes, too.”
