Amanda Rake has been selected as this year’s second recipient of the IUP Punxsutawney Person of Purpose Award.
This award recognizes the student who has shown academic excellence and good work ethic, and who actively participates in the classroom. The recognition reinforces the critical values of passion, persistence, and purpose in achieving meaningful success.
Award recipients are chosen from faculty nominations.
Rake was nominated by Ron Horner as being among the most outstanding in his classroom.
Amanda will receive a $250 award.
