The IUP Career and
Professional Development Center and the IUP College of Education are co-sponsoring an Education Career Fair on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, beginning
at 10:00 a.m. and lasting until approximately 1:00 p.m. in the HUB Atrium.
The event will provide numerous opportunities for IUP students, according to Sue Rieg, dean’s associate for educator preparation. “An on-campus career fair benefits students in several ways,” Rieg said. “First, the career fair gives teacher candidates
the opportunity to practice professional communication with education and education-related employers. Second, it highlights options for candidates, including public school districts, private organizations, agencies, and cyber schools. And finally,
the career fair can result in candidates landing positions prior to graduation.”
Students from education and other specialty areas are encouraged to attend, as several organizations are also seeking counselors, educational psychologists, etc., for employment and/or internships.
