As part of the seminar, Kinka, Schwartz and Spano presented narratives describing: 1) how they became a professional in the planning field; 2) their job description and responsibilities; 3) things they like best about their jobs as planners; 4) things they like least about their jobs as planners; and 5) their perspectives on the future of planning.

Students had the opportunity to ask questions about planning profession, what to expect in their daily professional lives, and how to deal with the challenges of working as planners. The two-hour session wrapped up with an interactive question and answer segment where IUP students and the visiting professionals discussed the future of the profession.
