Save the date! The annual benefit gala for the University Museum
at Indiana University of Pennsylvania is scheduled for Saturday, October 19,
2019. Celebrate the 1970s when disco was king and Donna Summer was queen.
Dust off your platform shoes and press your polyester suits. It’s time to put on your Boogie Shoes and Hustle
on down to the University Museum’s “Disco Inferno: Saturday Night Fever at the
Museum.”
Disco Inferno will begin at 6:00 p.m. and includes a reception in
the University Museum, followed by dining, entertainment, and auctions in the
Blue Room, Sutton Hall.
The University Museum brings the material history and arts of the
region together in an environment that encourages exploration, dialogue, and
enjoyment. The University Museum never
charges admission to its exhibits and educational events, and survives solely
on gifts and grants, plus proceeds from the annual gala. Gala funds provide
needed support for the Museum’s ongoing art restoration projects, community
outreach efforts, and educational directives.
Reservations are required. For more information, please contact Audrey Swartz, IUP Department of
Art, at 724-357-2530, or email museum-info@iup.edu.
