The Criminal Justice Training Center will conduct active assault police training in Stephenson Hall on August 28 and August 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day. Persons can expect to see cadets in uniform and replicas of weapons on site, along with hearing noise simulating an assault.

Persons with questions or concerns can contact the Criminal Justice Training Center at 724-357-3987.

This training was previously scheduled for Foster Dining Hall and then Elkin Hall, but the location has been changed.

Persons should also be aware that St. Thomas More University Parish, Oakland Avenue, will host an active shooter training on Thursday, September 5, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

The training, conducted by Robert Fatula, will involve the firing of blanks in the church basement and sanctuary, which may be heard in the area of the church.
