The film The Empty House was written, directed and produced by Jeremy Waltman and Adam Lucas and was shot by Bart Cortright, a Brooklyn-based cinematographer. Waltman, one of IUP’s Communications Media faculty members, has created many films that have featured actors who have appeared in Oceans 8, The Walking Dead, Mad Men, Dexter, and Daredevil.

The story takes place in the fictional town of Blairsville, where the empty house sits. Julie has just arrived for a big-money job before her baby is born, but not all is right with the couple who called her there.

The Empty House used an Indiana Borough home as a key location.
