The fifty-voice IUP Chorus, directed by James Dearing, will be featured at the National Collegiate Choral Conference this Thursday night, November 5, 2009, at Yale University. The ensemble was chosen through blind audition; only nine out of forty-one college/university choral ensembles were accepted nationwide.

The IUP Chorus will be highlighted with choirs from Harvard, California State-Long Beach, University of Maryland, Yale, University of Missouri, and Utah State University, among others. The National Collegiate Choral Organization is the only association exclusively for college and university vocal ensembles. This is a distinct honor for our Music Department and for the director of choral studies, James Dearing.
