Meet other incoming students. Find your way around campus. Register for your first classes. Orientation is more than just a mandatory program for all incoming students—it is your introduction to college and IUP!
Orientation sign-ups for the fall semester will be at the beginning of March.
There will not be parent orientations in December or January. Information for parents can be found at our Parent Orientation Portal.
For an overview of Orientation activities, please see schedules.
Freshmen, transfer students, and students attending our Northpointe and Punxsutawney campuses need to register. See the dates listed below for your program.

All incoming students are required to complete placement pre-testing before scheduling classes. You’ll receive more information after you’ve registered for orientation.
You’ve registered and taken your placement tests. Now it’s time to plan your trip! Get information about lodging, travel, schedules, what to pack, and more.
Orientation is required for all incoming students, both freshman and transfer. Depending on the program you choose, you may be required to stay overnight, either on or off campus. During the orientation process, you’ll complete placement testing and schedule your first classes. Along the way, you’ll learn how to get around campus, all of the services available to you, and much more.
Please see the complete list of dates, below.
