Earlier this month, the NASPA Faculty Council announced that John Wesley Lowery was the 2024 recipient of the Faculty Service Award. The Service Award recognizes an individual who has been committed to advancing the Faculty Council or Faculty and scholarly initiatives within NASPA.
Lowery has been actively involved in NASPA for more than three decades. He has served the association in a variety of roles, including as a member of the board of directors, chair of the faculty fellows, member of the faculty council, member of the annual conference planning team several times, member of the journal editorial board, co-editor of a special issue of the journal, and member of the NASPA 100th Anniversary Committee. He currently serves as the NASPA historian and chair of the NASPA History Advisory Board.
