LEARN TECHNIQUES THAT WORK — Professor Lisa Price (left) ,  widely published for her expertise in the field, is  among the professors who will prepare you for this rewarding profession.

Professors Bring Real-World Experience to the Classroom

Our special education and clinical services faculty members have all worked in the field: in public schools, in mental health programs, and with agencies. All certified, they have either earned or are earning their terminal degrees. Even though they are active in research projects, their first commitment is to their students. You will always find them accessible and ready to advise you.

    • Our professors bring their extensive experience and high level of scholarship to the classroom.
    • There are no teaching assistants in the department; all classes are taught by full-time professors.
    • Our faculty members are believers in the value of co-teaching, and many of your courses are co-taught by professors so you can observe how they do it.
