What Your Bill Includes

Your billing statement includes direct charges billed to you by IUP—such as tuition and fees, housing (if student is living on campus), and a meal plan (if purchased, which is required for on-campus students).

Books and supplies, transportation, and personal and incidental expenses are not included on the bill but are expenses that most students will incur.

For an estimate of your IUP bill, please use our tuition and fee cost estimator tool.

How Financial Aid Appears on Your Bill

Before each semester, you will receive an email to your IUP email account indicating that your bill is available to review. You can view your bill on MyIUP under EasyPay. On that bill, the Student Billing Office automatically deducts your accepted financial aid from your IUP charges, such as tuition and housing. The following financial aid programs can be deducted from your bill:

  • Federal Subsidized/Unsubsidized Direct Loans
  • Federal Pell Grant
  • Pennsylvania State Grant
  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
  • IUP scholarships
  • Federal Direct PLUS Loan
  • Private/Alternative Loans

Aid that is not administered by the Financial Aid Office and late awards may not be deducted from your bill.  Please contact the Financial Aid Office with any questions regarding aid that is not on your bill.

When Will Your Aid Be Applied to Your Account?

Financial aid funds are disbursed to student accounts once the drop/add period for each term ends, and attendance has been verified, once a student has successfully completed all outstanding financial aid requirements, or once funds are received by IUP (whichever is later).

Funds are generally awarded and paid to student accounts in two equal disbursements split between the fall and spring terms (unless otherwise noted in your offer). Once all aid has disbursed, any financial aid refund will be processed.

Landlord letters are available in MyIUP of proof of an anticipated refund.

Payment Plan is Available

An Installment Payment Plan is available to assist you with the charges on your bill. Information on it is included with your IUP bill, which is emailed to you.

For more information on the payment plan or your bill, contact the Student Billing Office.
