Classes and Requirements
The Paramedic Certificate program is offered in a “flip-style” classroom. It meets once a week throughout the year, allowing students to work while completing the program.
Teaching-learning methods in this course may include
- assigned readings
- interactive lectures
- discussion
- critical thinking activities
- paramedic portfolio lab activities.
The program prepares students to think critically, so it is mandatory that students complete the required interactive lectures, required readings, and pre-course assignments before class or lab.
During classes and labs, questions will be asked concerning the interactive lecture materials, electronic readings, and/or pre-course/lab assignments.
Labs are designed to reinforce the information from the interactive lectures, readings, and pre-course assignments. This allows students to gain the knowledge and skills to become competent entry-level paramedics.
