On September 12, 2017, the IUP Student Accounting Association in the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology hosted Michael Sklarsky, tax manager, and Andy Herbert, tax associate, from PwC. Sklarsky graduated from Washington and Jefferson and has been with PwC for 10 years. Herbert graduated from IUP in 2015 with a dual major in accounting and finance.

 

PwC associates showcased an in-depth look at how one of the largest international public accounting firms on their global tax services. They also specialize in advisory and assurance. PwC adds 11,000 campus recruits to their team annually. New hires get the opportunity to receive Becker material free of charge for the CPA exam, and the company pays for the exams. Another advantage about working for PwC is that they will pay for your master’s degree. They also contribute $1,200 per year for new hires with student debt for up to six years.

PwC’s internship positions are posted each September for the following year. Students graduating in 2019, for example, should apply early in the fall term to be eligible for summer 2018.
