A Culinary Education of True Value

At IUP, we are committed to ensuring our students a world-class university education at an affordable cost.

The following costs are for the 2023–24 year:

Instructional Costs

  • $7,848 per semester
  • No Charge for externship semester

Fees

  • Activity Fee: $570 per semester, fall and spring; $157 summer semester
  • Technology Fee: $239 per semester (Pennsylvania residents); $364 per semester (non-Pennsylvania resident)
  • Supply Package*:$2,000 (cost is pro-rated over four semesters at $500 per semester)
    This fee covers uniforms, supplies, and textbooks.
  • I-Card Fee: $15 per year ($7.50 fall and $7.50 spring)
  • Transportation Fee: $46 per semester
  • Regional Campus Student Health Service Fee: $100 per semester
  • Parking: No charge. Students may elect to bring a car to campus.

Costs listed are for Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry semesters. Once these semesters are completed, students opting to continue on for the Culinary AAS degree or the BS degree will pay undergraduate tuition and fees found on Student Billing's website.

*Supply Package cost is $2,000, pro-rated over four semesters. Supplies will be distributed at the beginning of the year. Students will be financially responsible for the full cost.

Note: Students will also incur other expenses not included on their billing statement that are factored into calculating their cost of attendance. These additional expenses include estimated food expenses of $3,620, personal/miscellaneous expenses estimated of $1,580, estimated transportation expenses of $500, and estimated federal direct loan fees estimated at $100 (as applicable). Note: Estimated per credit cost is $532.03, based on 30 clock hours = 1 credit hour. The culinary arts and baking and pastry arts programs are clock-hour programs.
