Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s master's degree program in speech-language pathology was reviewed in 2020 for reaccreditation by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). The site visit was conducted remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On May 30, 2023, during the required in-person CAA follow-up site visit, there will be a public meeting for interested stakeholders to ask questions and provide comments or concerns regarding the program’s national accreditation status. We invite all interested stakeholders (e.g., alumni, clinical supervisors, employers, clinic patients and families, and the general public) to participate in the review process by attending the face-to-face meeting or by providing written comments to the CAA.
The public meeting is scheduled as follows:
- Tuesday May 30, 2023, from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m.
- 255 Stouffer Hall, Indiana University of Pennsylvania
The process for submitting written comments is provided in the accreditation handbook (pdf, pp. 64–66). All comments provided must:
- Relate to the program’s compliance with the published standards. Standards for accreditation can be downloaded.
- Identify the program seeking accreditation (IUP Master’s in SLP; CAA #211).
