Communication is vital to life. Talking, listening, reading, writing, and gesturing connect us to what we value most: family, friends, work, school, and recreation.

Speech-language pathologists can help you or a loved one reach full potential.

We align the mission and goals of our clinic with the IUP Speech-Language Pathology Program mission and vision, the university's strategic plan, and the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association's code of ethics.

Training Grant

SPEAK OUT!® Therapy Program

The IUP Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic receives a training grant to help people with Parkinson’s disease (and related neurologic disorders) regain and retain their speech and swallowing abilities.

SPEAK OUT! is an evidence-based protocol that addresses communication and swallowing needs with education, individual speech therapy, group speech therapy and home practice exercises.

The IUP faculty supervisors are licensed in SPEAK OUT! and the graduate student clinicians are trained in the program before providing services.
