The Family and Consumer Sciences Education program students and faculty recently attended the 2025 PA FCCLA State Leadership Conference at Seven Springs Resort. They represented the university as project evaluators in culinary arts, teaching strategies, career interviews, chapter service, and more.

The FCSE program presented two incoming future teachers with scholarships and recognition for their commitment to “SAY YES to FCS.” IUP alumni and faculty also connected with conference participants during the exhibition fair and opening ceremonies. It was a great event to celebrate family and consumer sciences and connect with students, teachers, and professionals from across Pennsylvania—especially our new PDE FCS Specialist, Teresa Brownlee.

Thank you to Pennsylvania FCCLA for the opportunity!
