Partners from the PC4A Project will meet face-to-face for the first time on August 8, 2023. PC4A, the largest grant in IUP history, began in September 2022 and is a multi-million-dollar, multi-year project funded by the US Department of Defense with the main goal of increasing and strengthening the cybersecurity workforce in our country.
Comprised of six Pennsylvania community colleges and IUP, PC4A activities over the past year include distribution of scholarships, certification prep bootcamps, faculty development workshops, and community events.
Representatives from each of the six community college partners will attend the conference and provide presentations on their progress during the first year of the grant. The event will be held at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex, where IUP President Michael Driscoll will meet and welcome all participants on the morning of the event.
PC4A Project Director Waleed Farag said, “I am looking forward to the collaboration this event will provide to partners and anticipate that we will leave the conference with even more innovative ideas to help us reach our goals in year two.”
PC4A consists of IUP, Bucks County Community College, Butler County Community College, Montgomery County Community College, Northampton Community College, Penn Highlands Community College, and Westmoreland County Community College. Visit the PC4A project website for more information.
