Retired emeritus faculty member Jennie Bullard recently passed away on January 19.
Jennie worked as a special education teacher for the State College Area School District and later as an administrator for the Pittsburgh Public Schools. She decided to change careers after earning an additional master’s degree in industrial and labor relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and she attended Duquesne University, where she obtained her JD in law. Jennie then worked as a private practice attorney in Westmoreland County and later as an assistant DA in Armstrong County. Returning to education, she worked as a professor and served as department chair in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at IUP. Jennie last worked as an arbitrator for the American Arbitrator Association.
Friends will be received in the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo, on Saturday, January 27, from noon until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Brandon Cooper officiating. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo.
