
Yaya Sissoko and Caleb Moore
On April 4, Yaya Sissoko hosted economics alumnus Caleb Moore ’07, M’18 in his FIN 410/510 Financial Institutions and Markets course. Moore is a seasoned finance professional with a diverse background, spanning over 18 years in the banking industry from Mellon Bank and BNY Bank, S&T Bank, and First Commonwealth Bank to Martin Bank.
His career trajectory includes roles in derivatives, credit, and risk management, where he has consistently excelled in building and leading exceptional teams. Notably, he has spearheaded the creation of multiple departments within several financial institutions, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and strategic vision.
As a senior vice president at Carter Bank, Virginia, Moore has worked closely with C-level executives and board members, providing valuable insights and driving organizational success. He is also recognized for his expertise in data analytics, problem-solving, and leading complex special projects, consistently delivering innovative solutions and measurable results.
Prior to his finance career, he spent seven years in market research, providing a unique perspective to his work. Beyond his professional achievements, Moore is deeply committed to community service and actively participates in numerous nonprofit boards.
