David Yerger

As part of the 2025 Research Appreciation Week schedule of events, Department of Finance and Economics faculty member David Yerger received the Dean’s Award from the Eberly College of Business. This award was presented during the thirty-first annual Research Awards Reception, which recognizes and celebrates outstanding research by faculty and graduate students and a commitment to sponsored research by faculty and staff.

Yerger’s recent research efforts include investigations of within-occupation gender wage gaps and female representation in the Canadian labor market, macroeconomic impacts from the fracking boom, and firms’ potential strategies for improving water service quality in emerging market economies.

As a faculty member at IUP, Yerger teaches and mentors students in the Business PhD program, teaches both domestically and internationally for the MBA program, and covers a variety of undergraduate courses. He has been at IUP since 2002.
