The Indiana University of Pennsylvania community will notice updates to the dining program when the fall semester starts. These updates are designed to enrich and advance the dining program on campus.
As the wishes of our customers change, so must our dining program, and this includes expanded and updated locations across campus. At Crimson Café, Food on the Run will move into the previous Burger Studio location and expand with more convenience store options. Crimson Café favorites including Starbucks and Bento Sushi will be returning.
Other updates coming to the dining program for the fall semester include changes at Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A will now have kiosk ordering in addition to Grubhub mobile ordering. Customers will now be able to customize their choices with made-to-order options. An expanded menu will also include mac and cheese, more salads, and wraps, along with iced coffee and frozen coffee.
IUP Dining is also bringing a new brand to campus, Burgers + Fries will be replacing Grille Works in the Hawk HUB food court. Burgers + Fries features an Angus Burger Patty and brings bold and fancy flavors with a variety of toppings for burgers and chicken tenders. B+F also offers a burger bowl option eliminating the bun and providing a healthier option.
Also, inside the food court the salad option, Greens to Go will be expanding and adding a made-to-order deli component. This will provide more options to students on campus, including a student favorite: the chicken bacon ranch sandwich.
Late-night dining on campus at Folger After Dark inside of Folger Student Center is also adding to their menu with more grab and go options and soups. Healthier sandwiches and salads will be available to provide more variety.
North Dining will also be offering many new items this fall, including in-house smoked meats and homemade pickles and vegetables at the deli. IUP Dining will be bringing back the popular premium meat program that offers students a choice of steaks, salmon, stuffed chicken breast, and more for a meal swipe plus an additional charge several times a semester. All premium meats are cooked to order and are available for lunch and dinner.
The gelato station will also be expanding with a made-to-order crepe bar and warm cookies. Gelato pints will also be available for order on GrubHub along with whole pizzas from North.
The dining program will also be enhancing their robust calendar of events with more events and pop-ups around campus, including a pop-up event this fall featuring celebrity chef Grace Ramirez. La Latina Cocina features amazing Latin American inspired dishes and will be featured at North Dining.
North Dining will also be working with the World Resources Institute and their Cool Foods program to highlight lower carbon footprint menu items. Cool Foods highlights over 350 menu items that have a lower carbon footprint and support sustainability in the dining program.
