Rite Aid Pharmacy will be on campus to administer flu vaccinations to the IUP community on October 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Folger Hall. A higher flu shot dose is available for those over age 65.

- YOU MUST WEAR A MASK AND PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING UPON ENTERING THE BUILDING AND WHILE WAITING TO RECEIVE A FLU SHOT.
Faculty, managers, coaches, OPEIU,andSPFPAemployees and their covered dependents ages nine and older enrolled in the Highmark PPO can receive a free flu vaccine from either pharmacy by presenting their health insurance ID card. For UPMC HMO members,free flu shots are available at the clinic from Rite Aid or at a Giant Eagle pharmacy by submitting your health insurance ID card. If you choose another pharmacy, you may be required to pay at the time the shot is given and then submit a reimbursement form to UPMC.
AFSCME, SCUPA,andPSSUemployees and their covered dependents ages nine and older enrolled in a PEBTF health plan, both PPOs and all HMOs, can receive a free flu vaccine by presenting their CVS/Caremark prescription drug card (preferred) or their health insurance ID card at the clinic or at any Acme, Giant, Giant Eagle, Target, Weis, Rite Aid, or CVS pharmacy.Please bring both cards.
Those not covered by a PASSHE or PEBTF health plan could possibly receive a flu shot at the clinic for a vaccination fee.

This is not a mandatory schedule, so if you have a need to go to the other pharmacy from where your name falls on the schedule provided, please feel free to do so. This schedule is to try to keep the clinic organized.
If you are planning on attending the clinic here on campus, Rite Aid requires a screening questionnaire/consent form. Please print the form and take it with you on the day of the clinic.
Other Opportunities for Receiving Flu Shots
All Highmark members (who are age nine and older) can obtain a no-cost flu shot at any Rite Aid, CVS, Giant, or Giant Eagle pharmacy in Pennsylvania. No appointment is neededthe member must present their Highmark member ID card or, if a PEBTF member, their CVS/Caremark Rx ID Card. UPMC HMO members can obtain a flu shot at any other pharmacy or clinic, but then may submit a claim form with a receipt to UPMC to get reimbursed.
Highmark and UPMC members of all ages can obtain a free flu shot from their physician; however, an office visit co-payment may apply.
