Over the course of an academic year, the Office of International Education assists international students and scholars and their families from over 50 countries and helps IUP students pursue education abroad opportunities. The office also liaises with faculty, staff, students, and community members in a number of different ways to further internationalize IUP.

IUP Students Selected for Competitive International Study Awards

Shanya Coshey, an Asian studies and anthropology double major from Manor, has been selected for a Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship, and Dilan Dybus, an Asian studies major from Cresson, has been selected for a Freeman Asia Award. The scholarships will fund the students’ year-long study at Kansai Gaidai University in Hirakata, Japan.

Office of International Education Personnel Recognized for Support to Threatened Scholar

Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Office of International Education and two members of the office have been recognized by the Institute of International Education with certificates of appreciation from the IIE’s Scholar Rescue Fund Alliance.
