Christina Huhn, Department of Foreign Languages (Spanish Education), recently published a research article, “Reframing my practices: reconsidering post-secondary World Language education,” in the most recent issue of Teacher Development.
The article explores the teaching practices of an experienced language teacher through the lens of self-study and contributes to research on language teaching practices in post-secondary classrooms. In particular, the research uses ACTFL’s World-Readiness standards. High Leverage Teaching Practices (Glisan and Donato, 2017) and the related TELL project criteria to explore the intersection between how language teacher educators may teach in their language classrooms and what they present to pre-service teachers.
