Chauna Craig (Department of Language, Literature, and Writing) was recently awarded a competitive arts residency this past September at Craigardan, an interdisciplinary residency program located in Elizabethtown, New York.

Craigardan is a residency program and working farm that supports ceramic, literary, visual, and performance artists, as well as farmers, chefs, activists, scholars, and researchers from around the Adirondack region and around the world.

Craig spent her time developing her current fiction project and gave a public talk on the art and craft of storytelling titled “That Spider in My Room, or How Fiction Is the Illusion That Keeps Us Real.”

Craig teaches creative writing and honors courses and serves as the director of the Cook Honors College.
