Due to the concerns regarding the rapid spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), guidance from both federal and state governments, and policy announced yesterday for Indiana University of Pennsylvania regarding the suspension of group activities to limit the spread of the virus, the upcoming production of Finding Neverland at IUP on Thursday, March 19, in Fisher Auditorium is now canceled. This performance will not be rescheduled, and another performance will not be scheduled in its place for the current season.
As was announced on March 12, IUP will be canceling, rescheduling, or postponing all university-sponsored events through April 19 that are expected to draw more than 75 persons.
The Lively Arts has started the process of reaching out to its subscribers and ticket holders to notify them personally of this news and will be issuing refunds. Any questions regarding refunds should be directed to the Lively Arts at lively-arts@iup.edu or by calling 724-357-2787 (ARTS).
Another update on the remaining season events for both the Lively Arts and the College of Fine Arts will be issued early next week.
Kristen Koehler, executive director of the Lively Arts at IUP, stated, “We sincerely appreciate the leadership of our campus, community, and government officials as we all work towards safeguarding the health of our students, community, audience, and staff.” She continued, “We look forward to continuing to entertain our valued audience members and thank them for their patience and continued support.”
