Many Majors Benefit from a Minor in Marketing
Designed for all majors including business and non-business majors who wish to expand their employment opportunities by taking selected/suited marketing coursework to gain some exposure in this field.
Minor: Marketing (18 credits)
For all majors including allied fields such as fashion, sports administration, art, journalism, psychology, hospitality management and many others.
Required Courses

- ECON 101 Basic Economics
- ECON 121 Principles of Macroeconomics
- ECON 122 Principles of Microeconomics (3 cr)

MKTG 320 Principles of Marketing (3 cr)

Four additional MKTG courses (12 cr)
Minor course requirements must be completed with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
Become a marketing minor by completing with the Word or PDF application and sending it to the department secretary listed in our faculty and staff directory.
Digital Marketing Certificate
- Provides students with knowledge and skills necessary to perform as a marketing professional with duties in digital aspects of business and marketing.
- Students will learn about digital marketing, communications, social media campaign planning, content marketing, etc.
- Students will gain exposure to using tools offered by Google, Facebook, Adobe and other digital learning platforms.
Course Requirements:
- MKTG 320 (or equivalent) Principles of Marketing
- MKTG 433 Advertising
- MKTG 439 Internet Marketing
- MKTG 445 Social Media Marketing
- Plus MKTG 440 OR MKTG 448 OR by approval of Chair (3 credits).
- Total Credits: 15
