The University Museum at Indiana University of Pennsylvania is pleased to present An Evening with Chuck Olson, a special Artist Talk taking place on Thursday, April 24, at 6:30 p.m. Visitors are invited to join Olson for an engaging evening as he reflects on his creative journey, influences, and his works currently featured in the museum’s IUP/NYC exhibition.

A celebrated painter and educator, Chuck Olson approaches painting as a lifelong composition, shaped by experience, travel, and artistic discourse. With a career spanning more than 40 years in both studio practice and academia, Olson’s work reflects a thoughtful dialogue between creativity, intellectual pursuit, and personal history.

Presented in conjunction with IUP/NYC—an exhibition showcasing the work of three accomplished IUP alumni artists—this talk will provide a deeper understanding of Olson’s artistic philosophy and the evolution of his work. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from the artist, ask questions, and explore the themes and processes behind his striking compositions.

This event is free and open to the public. The University Museum is located on the first floor of John Sutton Hall. For more information, please contact the University Museum at info-museum@iup.edu or 724-357-2424.
