The Division of Emergency Services Training will offer its 2010 summer Emergency Medical Technician Basic Training program starting June 10, 2010.
This is a 128-hour course intended to prepare the participant to deliver pre-hospital emergency medical care. It is designed for those who want to work on an ambulance and others who may be in positions where emergency medical training would be beneficial. The course is certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and is approved by the Veterans Administration for benefits.
The class will be offered Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. through August 2. Cost is $435, which includes the textbook.
Registration is due by May 28 and must include a $100 nonrefundable deposit.
Late registrations will be accepted if space is available but will require a $50 late registration fee.
