Indiana University of Pennsylvania will continue its weekly picnics in the Oak Grove on Wednesday, June 9, 2010. Recorded contemporary music will be played during the picnic.
The picnics are open to the community and will be held Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., weather permitting. Cancellations due to inclement weather will be posted Wednesday mornings on the IUP website and will be announced on Renda Broadcasting's WDAD-AM.
Picnickers may bring a lunch or purchase picnic foods from the Aramark food stations.
This year, Aramark is offering one-price buffet lines. One buffet line will feature traditional picnic items including hamburgers, hot dogs, bagged hoagies (including vegetarian choices), hot pasta, corn on the cob, baked beans, salad, fresh fruit salad, whole fruit, and cookies and other desserts. A “chef's choice” specialty buffet line also will be offered each week.
Cost is $5.50 for any buffet, which includes one dinner plate, one dessert plate, and a beverage.
The Student Affairs Division is the special guest for the June 9 picnic.
