Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Office of New Student Orientation at Indiana University of Pennsylvania will move their summer orientation programs to an online format. Students will complete the initial transition experience by completing various HAWKS 100 and 101 courses as well as participating in an online Zoom meeting experience. Notifications are being shared with students and family members regarding this change.
This change has allowed for the development of a week-long Welcome Week program which will serve as the culmination of the orientation experience. Freshmen students will move into campus housing on Saturday, August 15, and participate in a variety of activities. Students will have an opportunity to be introduced to higher education, attend campus resource workshops, and participate in exciting campus programs during the week before classes begin. Incoming students will also have an opportunity to complete an academic double check and adjust their fall schedule before they start classes on August 24.
The Office of New Student Orientation is currently working remotely. Individuals seeking to contact their office are encouraged to email them at orientation-testing@iup.edu for questions or inquiries.
