Dear IUP Students:
We are saddened by the dramatic rise in hateful violence against Asian Americans across the country.
IUP condemns any and all acts of violence or of hateful speech, and we are here to support you in the case that you experience discrimination, acts of hate, or violence.
If you encounter any kind of discrimination at IUP, you can report that incident through the IUP Incident of Concern reporting form found at the bottom of every IUP web page, or you can contact the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Elise Glenn, directly at social-equity@iup.edu. If you experience any acts of violence, we will help connect you with law enforcement resources.
Our IUP Counseling Center staff is also here to help you. If you need support from our trained counselors, you can reach them to set up a virtual appointment through email at counseling-center@iup.edu or by calling 724-357-2621.
Hate has no place at IUP. We are committed to your right to learn, work, and live free from racial, national origin, or other discrimination. We will continue the important work of advancing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion at IUP. We are here for you. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Elise Glenn, Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer
