What's a book that means a lot to you?

I’ve always been a fan of David McCullough’s writing, and among his works, John Adams stands out the most to me. I think it masterfully shines a spotlight on a founding father who is often overshadowed by his contemporaries.

Instead of portraying Adams as some larger-than-life statesman, it presents him simply as a confident Bostonian lawyer whose path was guided not just by his own vision, but by the relationships he made. Whether it was his devotion to his wife, Abigail, his complicated friendship with Thomas Jefferson, or his admiration for figures like George Washington and Benjamin Franklin, McCullough reveals how these connections were integral in Adams’s journey.

In doing so, this book paints a vivid portrait of the man and provides the reader with a deeper appreciation of the history of America.
